I am planning a one week Yurt Camping trip in the High Serra this spring. The exact date has not been set and will depend on when the Sonora pass is opened up during the spring thaw. Post your interest here.

Sustainable water filtration will be part of this adventure. Sand and charcoal used along with boiling water is just one of the water treatments that we will be using. Wilderness sanitation is another valuable skill that is needed when small groups or communities have none of the common facilities we are used to nowadays.

Hands on practical skills are an essential part of a well stocked toolbox of resources to draw upon should the need arise.

It was cold, ice every night. The wood burning stoves make it possible for camping in extreme conditions.
